Brooklyn drunk Yakov Tsofin, 64 said he wanted to kill President Barack Obama over the bloodshed in Syria. He was ordered held on $50,000 bail at his Manhattan Criminal Court arraignment.
He is charged with making terrorist threats, a felony, and faces up to seven years in prison.
Prosecutors said the accused has a history of arrests, including for making threats against the commander in chief and a misdemeanor record.
In 2004, he was arrested in Brooklyn after saying he would “kill every Jew and cop”. The next year he called 911 twice with death threats for the mayor and president and he was charged in a similar stunt in 2011. (Ref: www.nydailynews.com )
