Three Charged with Drugs Offenses

On 12th September’s night, a man from Naperville’s far south side and two associates had to stay in Will County Jail in Joliet, after being caught in a sting involving more than 15 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street sale value of $60,000.

According to jail records, bail was set at $1 million for Naperville resident who is 24years old and one of his associates, who is 27. They are charged with cannabis trafficking, a Class 1 felony, and manufacture/delivery of cannabis, also a Class 1 felony. For the third person, who is 18 years old, bail was set at $300,000. He is charged with the felony manufacture or delivery of marijuana.

Mother and Boyfriend Arrested After Treating Son in Inhuman Way

A 10-year-old boy from Camden, N.J., escaped the home of his mother and her boyfriend, who he said chained him to a radiator in his home for two weeks. They forced him to sleep on the floor without blankets.

They were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal restraint. Both of them are being held at county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail each. The boy and his five siblings are currently under the care of the state.

A Toronto policeman charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of an 18-year-old who brandished a knife on a streetcar was released on C$510,000 ($491,000) bail on 20th August, 2013.

The Toronto police force’s Special Investigations Unit said on it had grounds to believe that Constable broke the law in the death of the teen. Second-degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison in Canada, but with the possibility of parole. Canada has no death penalty.
